Aims & Scope
The Sultan Qaboos University Journal for Science (SQUJS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scientific and technological knowledge across fundamental and applied sciences. SQUJS provides a distinguished platform for original research, comprehensive reviews, and insightful case reports that contribute significantly to scientific discourse. We particularly welcome submissions that highlight novel hypotheses, innovative investigative methodologies, advanced data analysis, and transformative ideas.
Emphasizing research with strategic relevance, SQUJS is committed to fostering scientific inquiry that addresses the unique needs and challenges of Omani society and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab world. This includes, but is not limited to, studies in environmental sustainability, resource management (e.g., water purification, oil recovery), biodiversity conservation, and the application of cutting-edge technologies (e.g., IT solutions for local industry, advanced materials). The journal also actively promotes excellence in science education and the development of emerging technologies within these regions.
SQUJS embraces a multidisciplinary approach, publishing high-quality research across core scientific disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. The journal welcomes submissions of papers covering Editorial (by invitation only), Review, Mini Review, Research Article, Rapid Communication, Perspective, Science Education Article, Snapshot, Case Study, Letter to Editor, Book Review, Erratum/Corrigendum.
